Filmmaking is an incredibly powerful tool for youth to express their creativity, hone their storytelling skills, develop their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and to communicate their ideas in new and innovative ways.
With #LETSMAKEAMOVIE, youth can explore topics and issues that matter to them, experiment with different styles and techniques, and create art that reflects their personal experiences. Filmmaking is also an excellent way for youth to develop digital literacy skills, which can help them succeed in today’s tech-driven world.
Finally, #LETSMAKEAMOVIE gives students the opportunity to collaborate with working film and TV professionals, providing burgeoning filmmakers with insight into the career possibilities in the film and television industry.
An (7) Hour filmmaking workshop, where students gain an introduction to the basics of filmmaking and collaborate with their peers and industry professionals to create a short film.
In this workshop, you will learn the basics of filmmaking and storytelling and apply these skills in a hands-on setting.
By the end of the workshop, you will have shot a short narrative project.
Our (12) week filmmaking course will take you through the entire filmmaking process from start to finish. Students will learn the fundamentals of storytelling, screenwriting, acting, cinematography, set design and so much more; and they will apply these skills in a hands-on setting working with industry professionals.
As a group, students will develop a script, plan, cast and shoot a film, and present it during a premier and Q&A session.
